    DPI without quality loss

    For JPGs, only the DPI number stored in the file changes, so the picture, its pixels and its size in KB stay exactly the same.

    DPI vs pixels

    DPI only says how big the picture prints. If a form asks for a size in cm at a DPI, use Resize in cm instead so the pixels change too.

    How it works

    1. Drop your photos.

    2. Type the DPI (for example 200 or 300) and leave the width and height empty.

    3. Press Resize and download.

    Questions

    Does changing DPI improve quality?

    No. It changes the print size, not the detail. To add pixels, use Upscale.

    Why does my form ask for 200 DPI?

    Some portals check the DPI value saved in the file. This sets it so the upload is accepted.
