Privacy and cookies
What FitMyKB keeps, what it deletes, and the one optional cookie.
Your files
Files you upload are processed straight away in a private temporary folder, which is deleted before your download even starts. We never keep, look at or share your files. If something ever goes wrong mid-way, leftovers are wiped automatically within 10 minutes.
Processed on your device
For JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF and BMP files, Compress, Resize, Crop and Convert run entirely in your browser when "Process on this device" is on: the file never leaves your phone or computer. Other formats (like iPhone HEIC and PDF) and heavier tools are processed on our server and deleted right after.
Importing from a link
If you paste a Google Drive, Dropbox or web link, our server downloads that file once and passes it to your browser. It isn't stored. Only public links work; private and internal network addresses are refused.
Usage statistics
To learn which tools help people most, we count page visits and tool runs. For each one we note the tool, whether it worked, how long it took, the total size in bytes, the country (worked out from your IP address, which is then thrown away), and your browser and device type. We don't store your name, your IP address or your file names.

If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, no analytics cookie is set.
Partner accounts
If you sign up to embed our exam table, we store your email, name, website and a secure hash of your password, and we count how many times your table is viewed on which websites (the site's address only, never who viewed it). While you're signed in, the tools you use (the tool, whether it worked, the sizes and the time, never your files) are linked to your account, so you can see your history in your dashboard; in the EU, UK and Switzerland only if you accepted analytics. You can delete your account and its statistics at any time from your dashboard; your past tool use is then kept only as anonymous numbers. Signing in uses a session cookie, plus a fmk_signed cookie that only says "signed in" so pages can show "My dashboard". Both are set only when you sign in or sign up.
Problem reports
If you use "Report a problem", we receive your message, the tool you were using, the last error shown and your browser type. Your email address is only stored if you type it in, and only used to reply to you.
Supporting FitMyKB
The "Support us" button opens PayPal in a new tab. Any payment happens entirely on their site; we never see your card or account details. We only count that the button was clicked.
How long we keep it
Statistics and reports are deleted after 400 days.
Countries are looked up on our own server with the open ip-location-db data; your IP address is not sent anywhere.
