    Why convert to PNG?

    Every time a JPG is edited and saved, it loses a little quality. PNG doesn't, so it's a good working format for repeated edits and designs.

    How it works

    Will the background become transparent?

    No, a JPG has no transparency to keep. Use Remove background to cut out the subject.

    Does PNG improve quality?

    It keeps the current quality; it can't add detail.
