    Common BPSC upload errors, and the fix

    Looking for the photo upload

    There isn't one: BPSC takes your photo live with your webcam or phone during the application. Sit facing a window, against a plain wall, with nothing on your head. Only the documents below are uploaded.

    Signature over 20 KB

    BPSC refuses a signature above 20 KB. Phone photos are usually 2–5 MB, so compress it to around 16 KB rather than right at the limit.

    Not a real JPG

    The BPSC portal takes JPG files. iPhone photos are HEIC and screenshots are PNG, and renaming a file to .jpg doesn't convert it. Drop the original into the tool: it always saves a genuine JPG.

    BPSC photo

    The photo is captured live with your webcam or phone on the portal, so you don't upload one. The photo is captured live on webcam in the BPSC portal. Other BPSC exams may differ; check your advertisement.

    BPSC signature size

    BPSC asks for the signature as a JPG: up to 20 KB. The 72nd CCE asks for two signatures, one in English and one in Hindi; prepare each separately.

    Tips for BPSC

    State commission portals are often strict about the exact KB range and sometimes about the file name. Prepare the photo and signature once, keep them in a folder, and reuse them for every post you apply to under the same registration.
