Common JEE Main upload errors, and the fix
Photo over 200 KB
JEE Main refuses a photo above 200 KB (the allowed range is 10–200 KB). Phone photos are usually 2–5 MB, so compress it to around 105 KB rather than right at the limit.
Wrong photo size or shape
The JEE Main photo should be 3.5 × 4.5 cm (276 × 354 px at 200 DPI). A photo in a different shape gets squashed or refused, so crop it to that shape before shrinking; the tool above does both.
Signature over 100 KB
JEE Main refuses a signature above 100 KB (the allowed range is 10–100 KB). Phone photos are usually 2–5 MB, so compress it to around 55 KB rather than right at the limit.
Signature under 10 KB
A clean signature on white paper is often only a few KB, below the 10 KB minimum for JEE Main. FitMyKB raises the quality first and then adds invisible padding, so the file reaches 10 KB without changing how it looks.

Background isn't plain white
JEE Main wants a plain white or light background. A coloured wall, curtain or room behind you can get the photo rejected at verification, weeks later. Turn on White background and it's replaced for you.
Not a real JPG
The JEE Main portal takes JPG files. iPhone photos are HEIC and screenshots are PNG, and renaming a file to .jpg doesn't convert it. Drop the original into the tool: it always saves a genuine JPG.

Tips for JEE Main
JEE Main rejects photos with caps, dark glasses or a face that's too small. The face should cover about 80% of the photo, ears visible, on a plain white background.
