    Common APSC upload errors, and the fix

    Background isn't plain white

    APSC wants a plain white or light background. A coloured wall, curtain or room behind you can get the photo rejected at verification, weeks later. Turn on White background and it's replaced for you.

    Not a real JPG

    The APSC portal takes JPG files. iPhone photos are HEIC and screenshots are PNG, and renaming a file to .jpg doesn't convert it. Drop the original into the tool: it always saves a genuine JPG.

    APSC photo size

    APSC asks for the photo as a JPG: white background. Guides disagree (200 × 250 px at 20–50 KB, or 275 × 354 px at 50–200 KB): enter the numbers from your notice.

    APSC signature size

    APSC asks for the signature as a JPG: see your notice. Guides disagree (140 × 60 px at 10–20 KB, or 275 × 118 px): enter the numbers from your notice.

    Tips for APSC

    APSC's published numbers vary between guides, so read the advertisement for your post first, then type its width, height and KB range into the custom fields.
