Common UKPSC upload errors, and the fix
Photo over 50 KB
UKPSC refuses a photo above 50 KB (the allowed range is 30–50 KB). Phone photos are usually 2–5 MB, so compress it to around 40 KB rather than right at the limit.
Wrong photo size or shape
The UKPSC photo should be 150 × 200 px. A photo in a different shape gets squashed or refused, so crop it to that shape before shrinking; the tool above does both.
Signature over 30 KB
UKPSC refuses a signature above 30 KB (the allowed range is 20–30 KB). Phone photos are usually 2–5 MB, so compress it to around 25 KB rather than right at the limit.
Signature under 20 KB
